11,111 and 500

Monday, November 12th.

It is always fun to try and hit 2 milestones on the same day. 11,111 rides on Radiator Springs Racers and 500 times on Guardians, is what I have planned for this day.

And of course, the riders are also important. Mark, Mary, and Tara Cree came to Disney from Oregon, for a visit. It is Mark and Mary’s 36 wedding anniversary. Tara drove down with some friends. I mentioned to Tara a few months ago, that I wanted her to ride on the 11,111 car. So she found a way to come down. And of course no big lap without Carlene Beckius.

I spent most of the day with the Crees. Carlene joined us for lunch. We were able to go on Sailing Ship Columbia, Jungle Cruise, and Pirates of the Caribbean. We also saw the Christmas Fantasy Parade.

Then we went on Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and then Star Tours. Tara was not the Rebel Spy this time. We took the train from Tomorrowland to Main Street. We got photos at the front of the park. We also got photos at Sleeping Beauty Castle.

We came over to Disney California Adventure Park. Carlene joined us after she got off work. We had dinner at Award Wieners.

We walked over to Racers just before 8 pm. We had a Fastpass for 8 pm.

At 8:20 pm, in Silver 4, on Ramone’s side for the race, we turned lap 11,111. Carlene, Tara, and Mary in the front row and Mark and me in the back.

We walked over to Guardians of The Galaxy: Mission Breakout. We also had a Fastpass. At 9:15 pm, I got ride 500. We were all in the front row. Bradlee dispatched us.

The group of us got photos by the DCA Christmas Tree. We went on Soarin. Then walked over to Disneyland after DCA closed at 10 pm.

Tara, Carlene, Mary, and Mark went on Space Mountain as I waited at the exit.

We saw the “Ralph Breaks The Internet” trailer. We went on Buzz Lightyear before we raced over to Big Thunder. Next up was Haunted Mansion Holiday. The group went on Winnie The Pooh as I waited at the exit. We then went on Splash Mountain to end the night.

It was a great day with great friends.

It is always fun to take a break and experience other rides. I’m very lucky to have friends that allow me to spend time with them when they come to visit.
