D23 Expo 2019 Day 3

Sunday, August 25th.

Arrived today at 5 am. I had a Stagepass for the Disney Panel but was able to get in the D23 Gold Member line. It was not full yet.

They walked us into the panel room at 9:45 am.

The presentation was awesome. They talked about the new Avengers rides coming to Disney California Adventure. Epcot has a lot of new upgrades coming to the park including a Guardians ride, Mary Poppins area in the World Showcase, update to Spaceship Earth, and new films in France and Canada. We got a big surprise with Dick Van Dyke coming on the stage. It was packed with all kinds of parks information.

I filled a bag of goodies at the Voluntears booth. Got some lunch, then got in line for the Pixar Ball giveaway.

I got in line for the panel: Magic Journey: Take a Fantastical ride with Imagineer Kevin Rafferty. Kevin was the chief Imagineer for my favorite ride. It was great hearing about all the rides he help create. Especially Cars Land. I went up to him after to say hi. I told him how much I love Radiator Springs Racers and showed him my ride total. He said” my cousin told me about you. Great to meet you.” I almost cried. That was a great way to end the Expo for me.
