2019 Recap

Another great year in the books. Here are some of the highlights:

Started with my usual January trip to Disney World. Once again my focus was Test Track. I was able to reconnect with the cast members and enjoy their ride. I was able to go on Test Track 195 times during my visit and even got on 57 times in one day. My Test Track friends even invited me up to the GM Lounge, that overlooks the ride. I was surprised with the reception and gifts they gave me. I almost started to cry. I will always remember their kindness towards me. And I did get evacuated on the ride one time.

Of course I also went to the other 3 parks. I saw friends at Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. Seeing the animals on the Safari is always a highlight. I got to ride Slinky Dog Dash for the first time and loved the roller coaster. Met some new friends there also.

In March I got to go to Club 33. I was invited to help celebrate the Birthday of Carlene Beckius. We all had a fun time.

In June I got to go to Oregon to visit my friends. It was great visiting with The Cree and Beckius family. Mary Cree took me on a tour of Oregon. We saw the ocean and the Columbia River waterfalls. Even saw the waterfall that looks a lot like the one at Radiator Springs Racers. I watched my friends participate in a Rugged Maniac Race. I also got to visit with Michelle Steinke and her 2 daughters as well as Diane Trapp and her 2 daughters. It was a great visit. I hope to visit again in 2020.

I hit the 600 and 700 marks at Guardians. Always a fun time at the Fortress.

I hit the 12,000 ride mark at Racers. I was lucky to ride with my friends, Carlene, Catalina, Amanda, Kelly and Cameron. I reached 12345 in November and got to ride with Carlene, Tara, Marybeth, Katherine and Kate. Reached the 12,500 mark by the end of the year.

I attended the D23 convention and even got to meet the Imagineer that helped create Cars Land, Kevin Rafferty. He even knew who I was. His brother told him about the number of times I’ve been on Racers.

The opening of Galaxy’s Edge was pretty awesome. I love the Millennium Falcon ride. I really like being one of the pilots. I can’t wait for the Rise of The Resistance attraction to open.

I attended the Star Wars Movie Marathon from the 18th to 19th of December. All 9 Star Wars films including the new Rise of Skywalker. It was my first movie marathon. I was excited for the new film. And it was awesome. They did a great job of wrapping up the saga.

Enjoyed another great Christmas in Disney California Adventure. I passed out 60-2 packs of my homemade cookies. I gave them to friends working at Racers, Guardians, the stores, Batuu and anyone else I knew around the parks. I also got photos with my Christmas sign.

I enjoyed all the experiences and adventures I got to participate in this year. Making new friends and spending time with my friends away from Disney, has been truly satisfying.
